Pilar graduated with honors from Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo” in the city of La Paz. She worked as an associate for several years at one of the most important law firms in the city, providing commercial and corporate counseling to both domestic and foreign companies in the electricity and hydrocarbons sectors. Pilar actively participated in restructuring processes, bond issuances, mergers, and acquisitions.
Her professional practice in the field of Intellectual Property has distinguished her as a specialist in managing trademark portfolios for both domestic and international clients. Pilar is recognized for her high sense of responsibility and commitment. She has represented many leading global companies in industries such as textile, food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, hygiene, and others. Her work includes handling infractions, cancellations, and anti-piracy issues.
As the director of the Intellectual Property department, Pilar manages and directs all proceedings and administrative processes before the National Intellectual Property Service (SENAPI). She is responsible for defending clients in administrative and judicial processes, managing complex issues, mediating with third parties, analyzing and evaluating potential conflicts involving Intellectual Property matters, and providing counsel in the areas of infractions and anti-piracy oversight.
