Alejandra holds a degree in Law from the Bolivian Catholic University in La Paz. She obtained a Master's in Insurance Management and Techniques from Fundación Mapfre in collaboration with the University of Salamanca (Spain). Furthermore, she has completed several diploma courses in various areas related to insurance, securities, banking law, business law, arbitration, among others. Alejandra serves as an Arbitrator at the Arbitration Center of CAINCO Santa Cruz and CAINCO Sucre.
With over 20 years of professional experience in the insurance market, Alejandra has held key positions such as Legal Director at Nacional Seguros y Reaseguros Group and Deputy Manager of Products and Projects at Alianza Compañía de Seguros y Reaseguros S.A. She has also worked as an external consultant for various national and international insurance and reinsurance companies and brokers. Additionally, Alejandra served as an insurance lawyer at the now-defunct Superintendencia de Pensiones, Valores y Seguros, and held roles at Banco Nacional de Bolivia S.A.
Currently, she teaches at the Idea Foundation through the Diploma in Risks, Insurance, and Reinsurance. Alejandra is an active member of the Bolivian Association of Insurance Law, an organization dedicated to the scientific, academic, and informative development of Insurance Law at the national level.
